Inquisiq LMS Release 1.22 is being deployed on November 14, 2021 and contains the following enhancements and bug fixes.
Learner Experience: Enhancements
ILT "Notify Me" Feature
Description: We are introducing a new capability which will allow learners to register their interest in a paid ILT with no seats available at the current moment but has waitlist available. Learners can opt in the new "Notify Me" workflow which will send an email notification to the learner when a seat becomes available. This workflow works on a first come first serve basis. For the "Notify Me" workflow to be enabled, you must set-up an email notification for the event "Session - Available."
System & UI Changes:
1. When a paid course with a single ILT module has no seats available or a paid standalone ILT has no seats available, user will see a new "Notify me" button per the screen below.

2. Once a learner registers for the ILT session they will see the below confirmation and the button will change to "We’ll notify you" as highlighted in the screen below.
3. When a seat becomes available a system generated email notification will be sent to all users who have opted into the notify me workflow. They can then log-in to their Inquisiq portal to purchase and enroll into the ILT session.
Administrator experience: Enhancements
User course transcript report enhancement
Description: We are adding new columns to the user course transcript report which will enable users with reporting permission to report on courses which were imported as an activity import by administrators or an external training record by learners.
System & UI Changes:
1. Two new columns have been to the user course transcript report –
a. External Training Import
b. Activity Data Import
2. Both these columns have a yes/no value which flags a course as either an externally imported record or imported via activity data import.
Links as course/learning path materials and group documents
Description: We are adding the ability to specify a link to a URL as course and learning path materials, as well as group documents. This will allow an administrator to specify a link to a web page or document hosted elsewhere, instead of uploading the document into the Inquisiq LMS.
System & UI Changes:
1. A new field has been added to the course and learning path material, and group document creation screens that allows you to specify a URL. If a URL is specified, the document upload will be disabled, and vice-versa. A document can either be a link or an uploaded file.
Schedule Zoom meetings on behalf of another organizer
Description: We are adding the ability to schedule Zoom meetings on behalf of another organizer within your Zoom account. This will allow a single Zoom user with privileges to schedule Zoom meetings for other users within the same Zoom account.
System & UI Changes:
1. A new field has been added to the ILT session modify page when Zoom is selected as the session type. This field allows you to specify the Zoom user that will be the host of the session if that user is someone other than the Organizer. If specified, the value must be a valid Zoom username (email address) that exists within the same account as the Organizer, and the Organizer must have permissions within Zoom to create meetings on behalf of that user.
New placeholders for email notifications
Description: We have added the following placeholders for email notifications:
- ##user_company## - When this placeholder is used, the placeholder will be replaced with the value in the user’s “company” field. This placeholder is applicable to all email notification event types.
- ##user_department## - When this placeholder is used, the placeholder will be replaced with the value in the user’s “department” field. This placeholder is applicable to all email notification event types.
- ##recipient_stateprovince## - When this placeholder is used, the placeholder will be replaced with the value in the recipient’s “state/province” field. This placeholder is applicable to all email notification event types.
- ##ilt_link## - When this placeholder is used, the placeholder will be replaced with a link to the catalog object that has an open session. This is used with the “Notify Me” functionality outlined above and is applicable to the “Session – Available” event type.
Purchases report enhancement
Description: We are adding new columns to the purchases report which will enable users with reporting permission to report on catalog subscriptions.
System & UI Changes:
1. Two new columns have been to the purchases report –
a. Subscription Plan
b. Renewal Method
API and Integrations: Enhancements
User transcript API
Description: We have added a method to the User API that will retrieve the complete transcript of a specified user. For more information, please refer to the documentation for the User API.
Enhancements to course and learning path search API
Description: We have added the ability to search for courses and learning paths that have been modified since a certain date. For more information, please refer to the documentation for the Course and Learning Path APIs.
Enhancements to Zapier triggers
Description: We have added the following triggers to our Zapier integration:
- New Learning Path Enrollment Created – This event fires when a new learning path enrolment is created for a user in Inquisiq LMS.
- Learning Path Enrollment Completed – This event fires when a user completes a learning path enrolment in Inquisiq LMS.
Bug Fixes
- Corrected an issue where the last seat of an ILT could be purchased by two users at the same time.
- Corrected an issue where the resource associated with a Task module was being removed when saving changes to the Task module.
- Corrected an issue where users were able to enroll in an ILT session that occurs after the associated course enrollment’s expiration date.
- Corrected an issue with scheduling multiple ILTs that use the same instructor back-to-back falsely indicating an instructor scheduling conflict.
- Corrected an issue with saved report files being inaccessible.
- Corrected a typo in the Task type module instructions.
- Corrected the object name placeholder for Task Proctor email notifications.
- Corrected an issue causing OJT Submitted and Task Submitted email notification not to fire.
- Corrected an issue causing the certificate viewer to throw an error when displaying in French.
- Corrected an issue that allowed users to enroll in a course from a direct catalog link when the user did not have access to the private catalog containing the course.
- Corrected an issue that allowed administrators to enroll users in locked courses.
- Corrected an issue with quiz question randomization that prevented users from re-launching quizzes that have randomized questions.
- Corrected an issue that prevented users from exiting quizzes and surveys built with the Quiz & Survey tool when viewing from an Apple (iOS) device.
- Corrected an issue that allowed users to enroll in an ILT session that has already passed.
- Corrected an issue preventing course modules from being re-ordered in Content Distribution Hub.
- Added quiz question randomization options to the quiz builder in Content Distribution Hub.
- Modified the way Zoom sessions are created so the time zone in Zoom aligns with the time zone the session is created for in the system.
- Modified the course modify page in the Content Distribution Hub so that changes to distributed courses do not affect the publish settings of the courses in destination portals.
- Modified “Attempts” field on User Enrollment Activity page to align the number of attempts reflected in reporting.
- Modified email log to populate placeholders for recipient address.
- Modified Activity Import to pull in course code when mapping the import to active courses within the system.
